Time for change: 10 signs that you are wasting your life on the wrong things
Everyone has their own notion of a meaningful and fulfilling life, but there are some commonly held beliefs that life should not be lived. Find out what 10 signs reveal that you are wasting your life and wasting your time on the wrong things.
1. You often object
Do you often complain about your job, your boss, your salary, your neighbors, or your spouse? If yes, then you are spreading negative energy most of your time. Negativity will not change anything, it will only make you stay out of the way. So change your mindset and talk more about what you are thankful for in life, not what you don’t like in your life.
2. Do not feed your mind
If you do not constantly develop as a person and do not learn new things, it means that you are stagnant, just like a calm lake on which a green precipitate forms. A similar thing happens to our mind if we do not keep it active and learn new things. Positive challenges in life will expand your mind.
3. You often talk negatively about yourself
Whether you think you can or you think you can’t – you’re right in both cases, Henry Ford said wisely. If you tell yourself that you are not smart enough to promote you at work or start your own business, you will be right. If you tell yourself that you are too tired to change your life, you are right. What you say to yourself becomes your reality. So choose carefully what you say to yourself, because your life and your thoughts are one and the same.

4. You don’t plan for the future
It’s always best to live now, in the moment, but sometimes you need to look to the future to figure out where you’re going. If you do not have a goal or plan, then you are like a ship aimlessly floating by the ocean hoping to end up in some good place. But you should not live that way. You have to create your own guide in which you will develop a step-by-step plan that will take you where you want to be.
5. You spend too much time with people who are not contributing to your development
It’s easy for us to get stuck with people who don’t make us a better person. If you spend too much time with such people, you will be stagnant or they will drag you down with you. These are the people in colloquial speech known as energy vampires. They suck the life out of you and in turn give you nothing positive. Look for the company of people in which you will develop as a person.
6. You are addicted to your cell phone
Think about how much time you spend on your cell phone and how much that addiction affects your relationships with other people. You may be texting or browsing the internet while dining with your wife or children. If you do this, you are missing out on the time you could spend with loved ones or the time you could devote to planning for the future.

7. You spend money on unimportant things
There is a difference between need and desire, but modern society is increasingly erasing that distinction. A lot of people spend money on the latest technological gadgets, cars, and are stuck with the money for basic necessities of life. If you pause and think, you will realize that we actually need a little something. Food, water, a roof over your head and love are some of those needs. Everything else is just bonuses. Therefore, think about what you spend money on and whether you can make some changes. Maybe you can invest some of your money in saving for the future.

10 signs that you’re doing well in your life (even when you don’t think so)8. You don’t sleep enough
Sleep is essential for good health. If you cannot sleep because you are too busy or simply have a habit of staying up late, you should re-examine your habits.
9. Don’t take care of your body
Balanced, healthy eating and exercise have other positive effects besides weight loss. Healthy habits affect mental health as well as make us generally feel good. Think about your diet and amount of physical activity. You might realize that some small changes can greatly improve your life.
10. Do not step out of your comfort zone
Life begins when you step out of your comfort zone, says one life wisdom. Therefore, weigh in on the risk that could improve your life and keep in mind that there is a difference between risk and calculated risk. Any risk is uncertain, but a calculated risk means that you have weighed all the options and come up with a good, reasonable plan of action.
